Questions about making QR codes
How do I make a QR code?
Choose a content type, enter your details, then download the code as a PNG or SVG. The preview updates as you type, so you can check it before you save.
Is the QR maker free?
Yes. Link, text, email, phone, SMS, WhatsApp and Wi-Fi codes are free to create and download, with no account needed.
Do these QR codes expire?
No. The codes you download here are static, so the content is held inside the image and keeps working for as long as the destination exists.
Should I download a PNG or an SVG?
Use PNG for screens, documents and quick sharing. Use SVG for print and large signage, as it stays sharp at any size.
What is the difference between a static and a dynamic QR code?
A static code holds its content directly, so it cannot be changed once printed. A dynamic code points to a short link you can edit later, which also lets you track scans. Dynamic codes are available on a free MrQR account.
How do I scan a QR code?
On most phones, open the camera app and hold it over the code until a prompt appears, then open the link. Some older devices need a separate QR scanning app.
Can I use these QR codes for business and print?
Yes. There are no usage limits, and the SVG download is suited to professional printing at any size.
Why will my QR code not scan?
Keep clear space around the code, avoid stretching it, use strong contrast between the code and its background, and print it at least 2 cm across.
